What you should be doing

Use imagery – Posts with great photos gain 120% more engagement.

Choose your time – Posts made on Saturdays and Sundays boost shares and likes by 32%. Engagement is also higher on Friday’s!

Use video – The most shared type of post is one with video – averaging 89.5% more shares.

Gain engagement – Ask questions. By ending your post with a question you can get 162% more interaction- doesn’t that sound good?

Get reviews – Your positive Facebook reviews will give you credibility on there and also appear on Google.

What you shouldn’t be doing

Get wordy – Posts with less than three lines of text perform better

Bulk upload – It usually takes two and a half hours for your post to get 75% of its interaction so spread them out.

Boost everything – Remember, there needs to be a reason for you to boost a post – if there isn’t, then don’t!

Syndicate – Facebook want you on Facebook when you post – using other networks to post will reduce your reach

Ignore people – If there’s a negative comment, then ignoring may only add fuel to the fire. Respond with your email and settle the matter privately
